How to Plan the Perfect Mother’s Day

How to Plan the Perfect Mother’s Day

Even though appreciation for any parent should be every day of the year, it’s still nice to show some extra appreciation for Mom on her special day. With Mother’s Day coming up real quick, we thought we would save you the hassle and put together some ideas of ways to show mom how much she really means to you!

1. Make Her Brunch

Seriously, is there anything better on a Sunday morning? We recently made these sheet pan pancakes from Rabbit and Wolves Blog and WOW are they good! The best part is they’re quick and easy, so instead of standing by the stove for 30 minutes making each individual pancake, you can spend that extra time enjoying a coffee and chatting with your favourite lady. Pair these with our favourite Babes Who Brunch Candle Box Set and you have yourself an ideal Mother’s Day Morning! Or if you’re looking for a more specific scent, you can shop our full candle collection here!

2. Gift Her Something Personalized

Our favourite gifts to give are those that have a just little extra thought and meaning behind them to make them even more special. Last year, Courtney gifted Laurie this picture frame and this locket with a photo of them from her wedding and it was so perfect! Simple, yet thoughtful! We’re also loving this option for something with a little more detail. Initial necklaces, earrings and anything horoscope like this necklace or this ring dish also make amazing personalized gifts that she is sure to love!

3. Go On An Adventure

Now is the perfect time to go on that adventure you’ve wanted to try for awhile! A few of our favourites that aren’t too far from Winnipeg (if you’re in the area) are the Pinawa Loop, The Hunt Lake Trail, and The Cedar Bog Trail in Birds Hill Park. And of course, don’t forget to pack some snacks for you and mom! This backpack is great for hiking, or if you’re looking for something a little more compact, this belt bag is sure to hold all your granola bars!

4. Have a Picnic

A charcuterie board with fresh local cheese, a chilled bottle of wine and great company! What more do you need? Just make sure you remember to pack a blanket so you have somewhere to sit! And if you don’t have a picnic basket, not to stress! This tote is sure to hold everything you need and best of all, it doubles as a your weekend getaway tote once we’re all able to travel again!
