10 Things To Do in Winnipeg This Summer
With summer here in Winnipeg in full swing, we’ve put together a little bucket list of 10 must-do activities around the city!
1. Go Berry Picking.
The berry picking window here in Manitoba is incredibly short so make sure you hop on this one ASAP! Cormier’s Berry Patch and Prairie Berry are a couple of our fav’s, but there’s tons of different ones to choose from! It’s the perfect activity for all ages! Psst… our Maie Necklace would pair perfectly with this outing.
2. Visit Pineridge Hollow.
Stroll the market area shops, grab some local produce, visit the petting zoo and of course, be sure to relax and have a bite at the restaurant. You can’t miss the beet chips, they’re to die for!
3. Visit The Leaf
Surrounded by tropical plants, butterflies and beautiful blooms, the Leaf is one of Winnipeg’s newest attractions and one you definitely don’t want to miss! It is home to Canada’s largest indoor waterfall, and surrounded by a peaceful Koi pond. Once you’re finished taking in the tropical oasis, finish off at Gather, a unique new restaurant which incorporates the harvest of each season.
4. See a Bomber Game.
Cheer on the home team at Investor’s Group Stadium, as our beloved Blue Bombers look to capture their third Grey Cup in four seasons! We think our Jessie Belt Bag would be the perfect companion for this sporty outing!
5. Take a River Tour.
Enjoy a unique and scenic view of the Winnipeg skyline from the river, on a historical tour through the downtown waterways! The port is home to one of Western Canada’s largest outdoor patios, The Common, where you can sip on local beverages and watch the boats go by!
6. Bee 2 Gether Bike Rentals
Available at The Forks, Birds Hill Park and Assiniboine Park with numerous different bike options to choose from, it’s the perfect way to see the city and enjoy our beautiful summer weather. You’re going to want to be hands-free for this one, so we'd suggest the Micro Belt Bag or the Thea Sling Bag.
7. Visit the Beer Can.
Home to one of the cities best outdoor patios, The Beer Can features daily events and specials including Team Pitcher Night Tuesday, Live Music Wednesdays and Sangria Sundays! Grab our Molly Clutch, a couple pals and you’re sure to have yourself an amazing outdoor summer evening.
8. Hop on board the Winnipeg Trolley.
Currently rated as Winnipeg #1 tour, you’ll see all that our city has to offer and many hidden gems! It includes numerous stops such as the French quarter, Downtown, Assiniboine Park and and Back Alley Arctic Outdoor Art Gallery. We think our Any Day Tote would be the perfect tag along for this activity, with tons of pockets to store everything you’ll need for the day.
9. Hit the Beach.
Grab your Sunnies, sunscreen, beach tote and towel and visit one of the many great beaches just outside of the city! Bird’s Hill Beach and Winnipeg Beach are our favourites close to the city, but you really can’t go wrong!
10. Visit Fort Whyte.
From fishing in the wetlands to birdwatching and riding your bike down the forest trails, Fort Whyte is truly an outing for all ages! They have tons of different rental options available for whatever you’re in the mood for including binoculars, fire pits, cruiser bikes and so much more!
Thanks for reading and let us know if you try any of these activities! We’d love to hear about it!
