How to Style Your Favourite Hair Accessories
This 90’s trend is back ladies, and we’re here for it’s functionality, affordability and not to mention, it’s ability to flatter anyone! Gone are the days where hair clips were reserved for your baby sister and upon us is the modern woman sporting them throughout her busy 9-5 or a night on the town. Whether you’re an old pro, or a newbie to the hair accessory game, we’ve got you covered on how to style a few of our favourite hair trends for the spring and summer season.
First up, is everyone’s favourite; THE SCRUNCHIE. I mean come on, how could you not love these! The ways to wear them are endless - a top knot, a high pony, a low bun, you name it! Not only are they cute & functional, but they are actually so much better for your hair than traditional elastics that tend to cause breakage. A scarf scrunchie can also add an extra flirty flare to your outfit, and can be worn exactly the same as a regular one! Our personal fav way to wear it is in a low pony for an easy, care-free casual look!

You know those days where you just can’t seem to get your bangs to stay properly? Enter the headband! Whether it’s padded, satin knotted, studded with pearls or jewelled, you can wear these for any occasion. For a more casual look, add a headband to your ponytail to keep everything in place all day long. Looking for something a little dressier? Leave your hair down with a blowout or some loose waves. The trick to headbands is ensuring you have lots of texture and volume in your hair at all times!

Next up is the barrette. Keep in mind here that placement is everything! The key with barrettes is to pull your hair back to highlight your facial features. Use them for half up ponytails, to spice up a low bun, or at the front of your hair to get your bangs out of your face. Whether you’re in the mood for something pearled, multi-coloured or muted, we have it all!

Last but not least is the clip. Similar to the barrette, the clip is used to get your hair out of your face! Try gathering it to one side, and using more than one to secure your hair in place. Add in a twist or a braid for a little extra flare. And don’t be afraid to mix and match different colours or textures either! There’s really no wrong way to do it.
